Also called celery root and celery knob, this is the root of a special celery grown specifically for the root. It tastes like a cross between celery and parsley.
A British term referring to dishes that are traditionally served after dessert to cleanse the palate. Today it can also refer to small dishes served as appetizers.
Usually served as an accompaniment to sushi, gar is thinly sliced ginger that has been marinated in sugar and vinegar.
A sandwich consisting of three slices of bread with two layers of fillings in between. The fillings usually include meat (e.g. chicken, turkey, roast beef, etc.) in one layer and bacon, lettuce, and tomato in the other layer.
